Timber Hill Farm has a long history of sustainable farming practices and is committed to land preservation. Timber Hill Farm property is protected under an agricultural conservation easement. The events program at the Howe Barn helps to fund the protection of the land of which the farm and barn stand.

RULES & REQUIREMENTS

 

To reserve a Howe Barn weekend a non-refundable $5,000 deposit is required, as well as a signed contract. Another $5,000 will be due 6 months prior to the event, with the remaining balance due 60 days prior to the event.

Timber Hill Farm does not provide parking for guests. There is limited parking for vendors, VIP’s & wedding parties ONLY. Transportation must be provided for guests. 

 

A certificate of event/liquor liability insurance, provided by the host, for no less than $1,000,000, naming Timber Hill Farm as additional insured, is mandatory.

 

Written permission from Timber Hill Farm Wedding Venue must be attained for vendors not listed as a Preferred Vendor.

 

TOWN of GILFORD & LAND EASEMENT RESTRICTIONS

All meals must be farm-to-table and are required to include 'as much farm food as possible' from the Howe Family farms now known as the Forsyth Family Farm.

 

Events are required to provide certified and insured bartending services for any and all alcohol served at the event, with all alcohol removed off site at the event’s conclusion.

 

Events and music are strictly required to end by 10 pm. Lights up - Music over.

 

Fireworks, Chinese lanterns or outdoor light shows are strictly not permitted.

 

Timber Hill Farm has final control over all music. The volume level must be appropriate for surrounding neighborhood; if deemed inappropriate, Timber Hill Farm will require volume be lowered to an acceptable level.

There is absolutely no smoking inside the Howe Barn. Guests are permitted to smoke in designated smoking areas only
