THE HOWE BARN encompasses a unique blend of generations of Timber Hill Farm logging, timber framing, agriculture and our own unique brand of farm-to-table weddings.​

Our Barn was built entirely from scratch here at Timber Hill Farm, by the Howe family, our farm crew and a master timber framer. The timber frame features traditional framing methods blended with a more functional, engineered truss frame for a perfect mix of utility, elegance and wow factor. An open concept with no posts to work around, the grand hammer beam framing overhead allows for clear views throughout, straight out the huge front barn doors to our fields, and then to the lake and mountains beyond. The barn is located in a secluded wooded niche, on a ledge outcropping at the top of one of our most scenic and remote fields. Its the perfect place to host a gorgeous summer wedding - or heavy farm equipment in the winter.

The barn's timber frame was constructed in the same tradition as the other timber buildings built on our farm over the past few hundred years - with mature pine harvested from our forests, then milled, fitted and raised by us, all here on the farm [click for project photos]. Timber Framing is a New England tradition, and one specific to our unique farming operation. We hope the massive and stunning Howe Barn will be a longstanding homage to New England farm craftmanship.
